Single-Cut Electric

The Rye

The Rye is a single-cutaway electric built around a slab of Honduran mahogany that spent three years in the drying room before it was touched. The result is a resonance that is immediate and unforced — the kind of sustain that does not need help from electronics. Bound in aged tortoise with a carved maple cap, the Rye carries a pair of wax-potted humbuckers wound to a specification developed over four years of iteration. The neck is oil-finished and left slightly rough to the touch, the way a working instrument should feel.
